Dr. Dan Balón is Associate Director of the Adele H. Stamp Student Union for Multicultural Advocacy and Programs and directs the Office of Multicultural Involvement & Community Advocacy [MICA]. Hailing from Daly City, California, Dan has extensive administrative, professional, teaching, training experience in the non-profit sector as well as in higher education student and academic affairs at four public universities. He is an experienced nationally known speaker, facilitator, and trainer for cross-cultural dialogues, diversity and equity education, and socially just leadership. Dr. Balón’s research and publications are focused on Asian Pacific American leadership development, multicultural issues in higher education, and social justice education. He currently is co-chair for the President’s Commission on Ethnic Minority Issues [PCEMI]. He is also affiliate faculty in the Asian American Studies Program.
