Please Read Before Proceeding to Reservations

Due to the level of interest anticipated for this event, we will be using a ticket reservation system, followed by a separate payment process.

• We will take online reservations for the available tickets on a first-come, first-serve basis, based on transaction completion time. After all the tickets have been reserved, students may sign up on a waitlist.
• Reservations are NOT a guarantee that you have tickets. Please note that while the website might indicate there are tickets available when you begin to fill out your sign-up form, if multiple people are logged on and submit their forms before you, it is possible that no tickets will be available by the time you complete your form. In such a circumstance, you will be automatically put on the waitlist in order of your transaction completion time.
• Those who are first to reserve the available tickets will be notified by email to complete a separate payment process (payable by credit card only; purchases are non-refundable). Payments must be completed within 72 hours of notification or the reservation will be canceled. The tickets will then be offered to the next person on the waitlist.
• If a student on the waitlist is offered tickets, s/he will be instructed to fill out an online reservation form and complete payment online within 72 hours of notification.
• Those who have purchased tickets will be notified when the tickets will be ready for pick-up. Tickets must be picked up in person by the student who reserved and purchased them; ID is required. Tickets cannot be mailed or delivered day-of the event. The tickets will be available for pick-up at the Office of Campus Programs in 0110 Stamp Student Union, Monday-Friday, 10:00am-4:00pm, after GSL has sent notification.

Sailing on the Chesapeake Bay

Location:Annapolis, MD
Cost: $10 per person

Graduate Student Life and the Outdoor Recreation Center have teamed up with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation for a great fall day on the bay. We will board a historic Skipjack sailing vessel and learn about the history of the bay and try our hands at oyster dredging. Afterward we will have some time to explore downtown Annapolis. This is truly a "must do" before you graduate. Tickets are on sale for $10 each ($20 value) for UM graduate students. Transportation will be provided from campus.

Catoctin Mountain Park Hike & Apple Picking

Enjoy a lazy Sunday away from College Park. We will enjoy a short hike to scenic waterfalls in Catoctin Mountain Park and then head to Catoctin Mountain Orchard to pick fresh, locally grown apples and berries. Transportation will be provided from campus. Tickets are on sale for $10 each ($20 value) for UM graduate students. Price of trip does not include purchase of produce.

Mos Def at the Kennedy Center

In his acoustic project, Mos Def will draw from material by Miles Davis, Beyoncé, James Brown, and Gil Scott-Heron. Always bending genres to create his own sound, Mos lithely flows among hip hop, jazz, and soul while fronting his orchestra of savvy musicians.
